Stressful

I bought the color "soul" and loved it. However, it tangled so easily that it was impossible to unravel. So, I started on another skein -and got the same results. I'm not sure what to do with the other five skeins at this point. Totally discouraged.

Hi Rita - we're sorry you're having trouble with this yarn! Wrapping something around the outside of the ball, or leaving the label on, while you use the inside end seems to work the best with this yarn. As you use more yarn and the skein gets hollow in the middle you can use a yarn ball holder, or cut the cuff off a sock, to keep tension on the ball and squish it back together. Using the outside end seems to result in the most tangles, as the yarn will slide and get caught on itself, so we recommend avoiding that if at all possible.

Mandala String Yarn

The yarn is beautiful. I feel there should be more muted classsic colors. I also think the recommended size hook for the yarn seemed too big, but when I tried with a smaller yarn, I was constantly “ popping “ the stitches as I worked. Maybe that’s why they recommend the larger hook?
Final product is worth it. I’m making it into a pillow cover.

Beautiful yarn

This yarn is easy to work up and the colorways are gorgeous. I made the TL yarn crafts kelli bias scarf and get so many compliments when I wear it!

I haven’t worked with this weight of yarn much, but I’m using it to make an infinity scarf. The feel is wonderful, soft & light, & the color transitions are so nice. Can’t wait to use it this fall!

Love this BUT.....

Currently working up the Country Sunset Top. Loving the pattern and the yarn color effects so far, BUT, the yarn itself is very hard to work with. The skein falls apart on itself no matter if inside pull (which is a huge yarn barf) or outside pull. I have spent countless hours untangling. I caked my remaining skeins and hit took me several hours!!!! If LB can solve that problem , I will change to 5 stars!!!!

Mandala String

I have been learning/experimenting with lighter yarns this summer to beat the heat! I am a big fan of mandala, and the colors for string are great. I’ve already ordered a few more color ways so I can get some summerly shawls in different colors. This yarn is more stiff like a nylon crochet thread, it’s probably comparable to a 3 in crochet thread. Does not have give like the regular cake mandala a bit tough on the hands. Regardless, its an overall win for me… I like being able to have some weight on my shoulders and not get too hot in the summer. Tinkerbell also approves!
