LB Collection® Mako Cotton is prized for its extra-long staple length, which produces the smoothest, strongest cotton fiber available. It is is spun into a chainette construction, which allows for air to pass through the yarn. This creates softer, more lightweight projects than traditional spun cotton yarns.

a joy to work with

I had never enjoyed crocheting with cotton before I discovered it, but this Mako Cotton has made a believer out of me! I made a hexagon cardigan for myself using the Beets colorway, and I could not be happier. The yarn is smooth and easy to work with, isn't splitty at all, the color and sheen are delightful, and really, I can't wait to work with it again. PLEASE MAKE IT IN MORE COLORS! The cardi I made with it has excellent drape and isn't too heavy (it's the Cadiz Cardigan pattern, if anyone is interested--this yarn really suits that pattern!).

Lovely, very soft yarn

I really liked knitting with this yarn. I made a hand towel for my hall bathroom in white. It knitted up beautifully with great stitch definitions. The label directions are to hand wash and lay flat to dry. I took my swatch and put it through the washer and dryer and it came out great! Didn’t even shrink!

Soft & Breathable Staple

Mako Cotton Yarn was the perfect additive to my baby blanket project due to its lightweight softness. I love that the end result had a weighty drape, yet remained breathable due to the chainette construction of this yarn. For this project, I prioritized using plant-derived fibers that would comfort without overheating baby; Mako definitely delivered. For that reason, I highly recommend this yarn as a staple, especially in baby-related projects! (Pictured: Mako Cotton Yarn (white) used in combination with TruBoo Yarn (multi))

Super soft

I absolutely love working with this yarn!! It's super soft and feels so great in my hands and in my lap while working with it! I will definitely buy more! I made a little shawl for my bear and I think he loves it too!!

Heavenly

Mako cotton spoils all other cotton from my needles. Now, I only knit/crochet wearables 😊

Lovely to work with

Used the Mako yarn to make the Summer Path Cardigan and I just loved it. Easy to work with and so soft. Will be using it for another project for sure. (Color should be black but the pic doesn't show that clearly.)
