Using A, cast on 6 sts.
1st row (RS) [Kfb] 6 times. 12 sts.
2nd row [Kfb] 12 times. 24 sts.
3rd row [K1, p1] 12 times.
4th row [P1, k1] 12 times. Repeat 3rd and 4th rows twice more.
9th row [P1, p2tog] 8 times. 16 sts. Continue with B and beginning with a p row, work 7 rows st-st.
17th row [K2tog, k2] 4 times. 12 sts. P one row.
19th row [K2tog, k1] 4 times. 8 sts.
20th row [P2tog] 4 times. Fasten off by running end of yarn through remaining 4 sts.

STEM 
Using A, cast on 10 sts. Bind off knitwise.

FINISHING 
Attach stem to cast-on edge of acorn. Join seam with ladder st on RS, filling with batting as you go.
